Dear Leonardo Mechanography Users,
The new version of
Leonardo GRFP Mechanography v4.1b20.04 is available for Auto Update or Download.
This Update is recommended for all Leonardo Mechanography Research Edition (RES) users.
The update for the Standard Version (STD) will follow in June 2007.
Here?s a list of the most important features that have been improved or are new in the new version (a complete list of changes is displayed when you use the Auto Update function Built into Leonardo Mechanography by the menu tools -> check for updates now ? the red entries are update since the version installed on your computer):
New Features / Functions:
- Updated Database Engine: improved speed up to a factor of 20x when browsing through the database.
The speed of browsing through the database content in the main application window was improved drastically, now quick and fluent browsing including fast previews (See also updated preview issue) makes navigation through the database much easier.
- Statistics Analysis Tool
The statistics analysis tool was updated. For all selected scatter plots statistics data as well as the statistic data of the regression curves are listed. In addition statistic values of the comparison of the different scatter plots are listed.
- Balance Test
The Balance Test has been upgraded to a Stabilometry Analysis Tools. 60sec. measurements are now separated in 10sec. parts for each as well as for the complete measurement the 90% standard ellipsis area and the path length are displayed. The analysis algorithm now automatically detects the start and the end point of the stability task.
- Increased stability for analysis of s2LJ
The Algorithms now are more stable and if the algorithm detects a probably incorrect measurement the details for this decoction are listed. Also for light patients (<50kg) the detection of the starting point of the motion is much more stable.
- Experimental analysis for energy storage during counter movement
The Energy stored per body mass (J/kg) is calculated for counter movements (e.g. s2LJ). This makes it even easier to automatically separate counter movements jumps and squad jumps.
- Quiet Mode Added
In the Quiet Mode the sounds of dialogs are switched off.

To update your existing Leonardo Mechanography v4.1bxx.xx version to the current v4.1b20.04 do the following:- Connect the measurement PC to the Internet
- Start Leonardo Mechanography
- Start menu: tools -> Check for Updated now
- Now the available update version will be displayed an all changes to the currently installed version are highlighted in red
- Press the Download button
- After the download is finished press OK and then the End Program and Update button
- press OK in the Do you really want to close the application dialog
- if there should be an error message saying that a file could not be written just keep the displayed file name and overwrite it
